At the 2009 British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards, Kate Winslet, Mickey Rourke and ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ walked away with big wins.

‘Slumdog Millionaire’ received seven awards: outstanding film, director, adapted screenplay, music, cinematography, editing and sound.

Mick Jagger had some some fun with nominees Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Mick joked:

“…we are hoping that next week Sir Brad and all the Pitt family will be performing ‘The Sound of Music’ at the Brit awards.”

Brad and Angelina reportedly took the good-natured bard with a laugh and applauded Mick with the rest of the crowd. Brad and Angelina did not go home with any BAFTAs in hand, but Brad’s ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’ took home awards for production design, makeup and hair and special visual effects.
