Set to play the role of Cat Thatcher in the new Fox series this Fall, get the details on actress Adrianne Palicki in Lone Star. Videos and photos after the jump with details surrounding the freshman drama.
Friday Night Lights alumni Adrianne Palicki has signed on to star in a new series coming by way of the Fox Network this September. Part of Lone Star, Palicki will portray Cat Thatcher alongside her co-stars, actor Chad Faust, who will play her ex-husband, and James Wolk in the role of her current on screen hubby and secret con man.
Lone Star, from creator Kyle Killen, is “about a con man who is juggling two wives and two very different lives.” With plenty of “greed and corruption” at it’s center, Lone Star’s main character is “a charismatic and brilliant schemer who has entangled himself in a deep, complex web from which he can’t break free, while being involved with two very different women.
Speaking out about her role, here’s what the former Friday Night Light’s star had to say about her new alter ego:
“The character I would normally play is the girl from the wrong side of the tracks, so when they said Cat (the rich girl), I thought I’d love to play someone so different from anything I’ve done before.” Meeting Wolk sealed the deal, she says. “You have to have the right actor to play Bob, or the show can’t work. He’s perfect.”
Lone Star kicks off on September 20th at 9pm on Fox! Watch the clip below.
In other news, aside from Adrianne Palicki in Lone Star, you can also catch the brunette in the upcoming remake of the movie Red Dawn where she’ll play Toni and Breaking the Girl.
