North Country star Charlize Theron will be stepping into the Mad Max 4 Movie, the follow up to the 1985 movie Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. No details have been released on what role Theron will play, maybe Warrior Women?

Rumored to co-star alongside Charlize Theron in the lead role will be British actor Tom Hardy. Previously the role of Mad Max was filled by actor Mel Gibson, but now Miller feels as though he is “too old for the anti hero” role. He also felt that Gibson wouldn’t be interested in returning for the fourth installment.

“Actors auditioning for the film have only been given a letter for their character’s name,” reports the website. “The studio has yet to sign off on Miller’s choices, and no formal offers have been made.”

The first original Australian flick, as well as the two sequels, were created by George Miller and Byron Kennedy. This time around Miller is keeping not only the above mention cast list under wraps but the movie’s premise as well.
