Blonde Canadian actress Chelan Simmons will play the role of Silena Beauregard in the 2010 movie Percy Jackson and The Olympians: The Lightning Thief.
The Chris Columbus directed film revolves around a boy on a mission to settle indifferences between his Greek God ancestors. Also set to star in the film alongside Chelan Simmons will be Uma Thurman, Kevin McKidd, Pierce Brosnan, Rosario Dawson and Sean Bean.
Per 20th Century Fox, Percy Jackson and The Olympians: The Lightning Thief is described as….
“It’s the 21st century, but the gods of Mount Olympus and assorted monsters have walked out of the pages of high school student Percy Jackson’s Greek mythology texts and into his life. As a biography Chelan Simmons, Vancouver Actress, was born on the 29th of October in the year 1982 in Canada. Also a model, Simmons has been showing off her acting skills since the early age of just two-years old.
Since 1990 Chelan Simmons has been cast in a slew of guest appearances on the small screen. Starting off as Laurie Ann in the Stephen King movie “It”, the blonde beauty was then featured in the Bots Master. She has also appeared in the Scene of the Crime, Jack’s Place, Ratz and Faith in the Sports Page, Men In Trees, Psych.
Simmons’ most recent roles include a twenty-five episode run on the ABC Family series Kyle XY in the role of Hillary. She has also starred in Ice Twisters, Smallville, Supernatural and About a Girl. The Vancouver actress’ film credits to date include Carol in Good Luck Chuck, The Harp, Snakehead Terror, Dr. Dolittle 3 and Final Destination 3.
