Chloe Moretz is set to star as Hit Girl Mindy Macready in Kick-Ass, a film inspired by the Mark Millar and John Romita Jr. comic book. The film revolves around a high school geek named Dave Lizewski, who is fixed on being a superhero even though he lacks athleticism or skill of any sort. Things get a little hairy when he finally meets some bad guys with lethal weapons. Chloe assumes the role of a preteen assassin who has been taught deadly skills by her father Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage).
Chloe Moretz was born in Atlanta, Georgia. Her debut TV role was in the series The Guardian, and she made her movie debut as Molly in “Heart of the Beholder.” Although she had appeared on television and movies before, it was the 2005 remake of “The Amityville Horror” that launched her into the public spotlight. Chloe was honored with a Young Artist Award nomination, for her performance as Chelsea Lutz in the remake.
Her career was propelled quickly after the Amityville film, landing her guest-star roles on TV, and a role in the family film Big Momma’s House 2.
