Director Neil Marshall’s latest effort, “Doomsday”, comes out tomorrow, March 14, 2008. Sounding a bit like “I Am Legend”, the storyline follows the resurgence of a deadly virus in a major city. An elite group of specialists is sent into the city to find the cure by any means necessary. Emma Cleasby plays Katherine Sinclair the sci-fi thriller.
As a biography, Emma Cleasby grew up in Cumbria, England. She graduated with a degree in drama from the University of Hull. Her skills include singing Mezza-soprano, contemporary dance, Satori Jutsu Karate-Do, and horseback-riding. In 1999, Cleasby moved to London to pursue acting full time.
Although she’s had mostly theater roles, she has had a few television roles and two movie roles, one as Megan, a werewolf in “Dog Soldiers” and the other as Katherine Sinclair in “Doomsday”, which opens tomorrow.
Not much else is known about Emma, but I’m sure we’ll hear more as her movie career continues to grow.
