Meet Euros Lyn, the rumored director of the upcoming and much-anticipated “Dr. Who” movie. See his biography, photos and video here.
The “Dr. Who” television series began in 1963 in the UK (1975 in the US) and lasted 26 seasons. In 2005, the show started up again and continues in the UK. With such a big following, it was only a matter of time before a feature film was inspired. Now rumor has it that the “Dr. Who” movie will be announced at the 2009 Comic Con in San Diego, and Euros Lyn (”Torchwood: Children of Earth”) has been approached to direct.
As a biography, Euros Lyn was born in 1971, so his age is approximately 38. He attended the University of Manchester. Euros has worked as a television director, working on such British shows as “Dr. Who” and “Casualty”.
However, Lyn has never directed a feature-length film. If the rumors regarding the “Dr. Who” film are true, this will be his first.
Another rumor surrounding the upcoming movie include the former television Doctor David Tennant returning for the film (rather than the current Doctor Matt Smith). He is said to be slated to appear at Comic Con with both Euros Lyn and Russell Davies. Sci-Fi fans get ready, this could be the announcement you’ve been waiting for.
