Steven Spielberg’s Falling Skies trailer has been released. Watch the video here and get details behind the alien invasion that will hit the TNT network next year. Plus check out photos of the cast after the jump.
Falling Skies will be making its way to the June line up on TNT in 2011. The upcoming TV series, via Dreamworks from producer Steven Spielberg, has just released the first trailer for the show that stars Noah Wyle, among several other stars.
Falling Skies is pretty similar in its premise to that of AMC’s Walking Dead. Instead of leading a group of soldiers against zombies, ER’s Noah Wyle will play Tom Mason, a former Harvard college professor who loses his family and ends up leading the pack in a fight against aliens that has already wiped out half the human population. The drama will also zero in on the aftermath of such an earth shattering event. Seen at Comic Con 2010, Falling comes from writer Robert Rodat, who is known for his work on Saving Private Ryan, as well as producer Marc Bernadin.
With all things considered – a terrific writer, Spielberg on the job, and actor Noah Wyle placed in the role of the central character, the Falling Skies trailer should be getting some serious play time until the sci-fi series makes its premiere on TNT in June of 2011.
Also on board the new pilot are actors Sarah Carter, Maxim Knight, Moon Bloodgood, Colin Cunningham, Mpho Koaho and Connor Jessup. Check out the trailer below and be sure to tell us if you’ll be checking out Falling Skies when it airs next year?
