Halle Berry shaves hair for her next film ‘Nappily Ever After’. See more photos and video below.
The actress told Essence Magazine for its March issue:
“I’m shaving it off!” she tells the March issue of Essence magazine. “I know. Here comes the controversy, but … it’ll grow back – I hope!”
In the film, Halle will play a woman, Venus Johnson, who is tired of waiting for her longtime boyfriend to propose so she breaks up with him. But old feelings, and heaps of jealousy, no doubt, arise when he promptly begins dating another woman. Then she shaves her head. And the actress reveals she is now choosing roles with her 11-month-old daughter Nahla in mind:
“I don’t want my daughter to look back at my work and think, ’Mum sold out’,” she said. “I want to leave a legacy that she can be proud of.”
The film will be directed by Patricia Cardoso who also directed ‘Real Women Have Curves’ (2002) and is expected to release sometime in 2010.
