After stunt driver Scott McLean has reportedly landed in a coma after a high speed chase scene, filming on the Hangover 2 has supposedly been halted. Due out in theaters on May 26th of next year, cast and crew are said to be sitting idle.
Filming was put on hold after the December 17th accident occurred while cast and crew were working on location in Bangkok, Thailand. Stuntman Scott McLean, now reportedly in a coma per Pop Eater, was part of the crash that involved a truck and car. Per one source, “an ambulance immediately took the injured stuntman to the local hospital, and he has since been transported to a hospital in Bangkok, where advanced care is being provided. We are awaiting further details concerning his condition.”
Hangover 2, which has been making headlines with its choice of guest stars like Bill Clinton, and the now axed appearance of Mel Gibson, is currently being directed by Todd Phillips. The cast includes returning regulars Bradley Cooper, funnyman Zach Galifianakis, Ken Jeong, Ed Helms and Justin Bartha. Liam Neeson is also on board, while Heather Graham (who can be seen above) will not be returning. The second installment’s plot, from writers Scot Armstrong and Craig Mazin, is currently still under wraps.
