Did you know that Heather McComb is James Van Der Beek’s Wife? Or at least she was. News has surfaced that actor James Van Der Beek has filed for divorce from McComb after a six year marriage. After being separated since June, Van Der Beek cited their split due to irreconcilable differences.

The couple met while Van Der Beek was working on the WB series Dawson’s Creek. McComb’s sister was reportedly the former couple’s matchmaker. Learn more about Heather McComb, James Van Der Beek’s Wife, below.

As a biography Heather McComb was born on the 2nd of March in 1977. McComb is a native of Barnegat, New Jersey who started out acting at the age of two years old in a Publishers Clearing House commercial. Since then McComb has appeared in dozens of roles.

Dating back to the late 80’s Heather was cast as Zoe in New York Stories before heading off to appear in Alien Nation and the tv series The Outsiders. McComb made several more guest appearances in ThirtySomething as Melodie Klein, in Midnight Caller she was cast as Katherine Morano. In 1991 she appeared in one episode of The Wonder Years as Cindy before her performance as Patricia in Who’s The Boss.

Although the actress did not find work as a series regular she continued to land several roles. Heather McComb nabbed work on the set of Sirens, Chicago Hope, X Files and Grace Under Fire. Finally after years of hard work McComb was cast in the movies Beethoven’s 2nd and Stay Tuned.

Heather McComb’s most recent work include Ocean of Pearls, Shark, Without a Trace, Steel City, 2012 Supernova, Chasing The Green and CSI. McComb has also been cast in the lead role of Rebekah in the Rachel Grissom directed 2010 flick, The Somnambulist.
