Spanglish director James L. Brooks has dropped the first sneak peek at his latest romantic/comedy online for fans to see. Watch the How Do You Know movie trailer video here starring actors Paul Rudd, Reese Witherspoon and Owen Wilson. Videos and photo after the jump.
After a six year hiatus, highly regarded director and writer James L. Brooks is back in the game with a new movie How Do You Know, previously titled Everything You’ve Got. The story, which ha been labeled as a typical romcom, but trust me it can’t be, follows a “love triangle between professional softball player Lisa Jorgenson(Witherspoon), a corporate executive, and a major league picher (Wilson).”
Cast in the complicated Columbia Pictures comedy, which I’m sure will showcase plenty of sticky situations for the cast, are actor Paul Rudd in the role of George, Owen Wison as Manny, Reese Witherspoon as the character Lisa Jorgenson, actor Jack Nicholson as Charles, as well as actors Kathyrn Hahn, Andrew Wilson, Shelley Conn, Yuki Matsuzaki, Molly Price and Tara Subkoff.
How Do You Know will open in theaters on December 17th 2010, just in time for the Christmas Holiday. Definitely a must see, I think The New York Times said it best – “this movie tells a complicated, original story about people who might be funny enough, in their own troubled way, to remind Hollywood that it is O.K., occasionally, to buck the trends.” Although the project hasn’t caught much buzz and media, its promise comes from a director and writer who is responsible for such popular and much loved series like The Simpsons, Taxi, The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Spanglish.
