Supernatural hottie Jensen Ackles in Child’s Play? Get the details on Jensen’s possible new movie role here with videos and photos after the jump.
Jensen Ackles, who is widely known for his portrayal as the smart ass, cocky, but completely lovable Dean Winchester on the CW’s Supernatural each week, is rumored to be part of the upcoming Child’s Play remake from director Don Mancini.
Nothing is concrete as of yet but Ackles is said to be playing the character Jack Santos in the horror flick that is aiming for a July 2011 release. Also rumored to be cast alongside Jensen Ackles in Child’s Play are actors Danny Trejo in the role of Paulie, Brad Dourif as the voice of Chucky, Johnny Yong Bosch as Uncle Jake Barclay, Ariel Gade as Terri and Lisa Foiles in the role of Andy’s babysitter!
Here’s the official Child’s Play synopsis:
“When serial killer Charles Lee Ray gets gunned down by police, he transfers his soul into a doll just before he dies. Days later, Andy Barclay gets the same doll for his birthday. In order for Charles (Chuck) to transfer his soul out of the doll, he must perform a voodoo chant on the first person he told his true identity to.”
Alright I’m not one for talking doll horror flicks but if Jensen Ackles is part of the thriller I might just want to check it out! Tell us what you think, would you watch Jensen Ackles in Child’s Play?
Previously Ackles has appeared on the big screen in My Bloody Valentine, Ten Inch Hero (where he met his wife Daneel Harris), The Plight of Clownana, and the movie entitled Devour. Ackles is currently committed to his role in Supernatural for one more season.

Horror? Again? Awe come on, Jensen Ackles is leading man material…and not for just horror. How about a nice romantic comedy? Where he takes his shirt off a lot? Huh. What gives…or maybe an action adventure movie, or even a sci-fi. Anything but more horror. Though I agree, if he’s in it I’ll (probably)watch it…but is one romantic scene with NO blood and guts to much to ask for?

He is and will be filming supernatural until April or May of next year. Unless he has a twin he cannot fit this into his current schedule.

Jensen met Danneel, his wife-to-be, long before Ten-Inch Hero was filmed. The film was just an opp to work with someone who was then a good friend.
I really wish he’d quit doing schlocky horror remakes, though; the guy is so much better than that!

If Jensen’s in it, I’ll watch, of course…I watched MBV and Devour, I can watch one more horror film. Though I agree with the others, I wish he’d do something else for a change.

While I am not a fan of horror movies, if Jensen is in Child’s Play then I will definitely be watching it. Jensen is an extremely talented actor and he deserves a more mainstream movie genre to get his profile lifted to where it should be, so if this movie helps him, then I am all for it.

No, I don`t think he will do that movie, I think is just a rumor like Capitan America and other movies that is in imdb page.
But I would watch any movie Jensen is in it, he is a really talented guy.
But I would prefer that now he moved on to do ohter kind of movies he is a terrific actor.
