You may remember Jurnee Smollett in The Cosbys or possibly Denise Frazer in the long running series Full House when she was just a kid. Smollett now joins the ranks of the beautiful Friday Night Lights Actresses.
Jurnee’s character on the Direct TV series is the love interest of actor Jesse Plemons who plays Landry. The two attend school at East Dillion High School and meet after the football star runs over her bike.
As a biography Jurnee Diana Smollett, Friday Night Lights Actress, was born in New York City on the 1st of October in 1986. Smollett, whose two siblings are also actors, is a three time winner of the NAACP Image Award who has been in acting business since the early 90’s.
On top of her most recognizable roles in The Cosbys and Full House, Jurnee has been making the rounds in shows like ER and the movie Roll Bounce opposite Little Bow Wow, Nick Cannon and The Vampire Diaries actor Paul Wesley. Jurnee Smollett’s other acting credits include a nine episode stint in the TV series, On Our Own, as Jordee. She has also made appearances in the medical drama Grey’s Anatomy, House and Eve’s Bayou.
Smollett was then cast in The Great Debators. Her role scored her a Best Actress Award. A Vision Award winner, Smollett has also received the Broadcast Film Critics Award for Best Performance by a Child Actor. Her additonal acting credits to date include Selma, Lord, Selma, NYPD Blue, Wanda at Large, Strong Medicine and Rubies Bucket of Blood.
