Actor Justin Long has joined the cast of the Robert Redford flick, The Conspirator. Read about Long’s new role as a Civil War soldier here.
Justin Long has been cast in the new movie The Conspirator which also has signed actors James McAvoy and Robin Wright Penn.
The Conspirator, set to shoot this month, focuses on Mary Surratt who was tried as a co-conspirator in the times of the Lincoln assassination. James McAvoy, portraying Col. Frederick Aiken, will unwillingly defend Surratt, who is played by Wright Penn. After taking on the case Aiken begins to believe that Surratt is innocent while her son is actually the guilty party. Justin Long, a Civil War soldier, is set to play the best friend of Aiken who tries to steer him in the right direction.
The Robert Redford film will be produced in Georgia by Wildwood Enterprises, Greg Shapiro and Bill Holderman. Also set to produce will be Brian Falk, and Robert and Webster Stone of American Film Company.
Aside from his new movie role in The Conspirator, Justin Long can also be seen in the upcoming movies set for release, Going the Distance with his co-star Drew Barrymore, After Life and Youth in Revolt.
