Blonde beauty Kari Matchett has signed on to star as a character by the name of Joan Campbell in USA’s forthcoming series Covert Affairs. The show follows a CIA in training who is suddenly shot into the field. The new show will kick off sometime this coming Summer.
As a biography Kari Matchett, Covert Affairs actress, was born on the 25th of March in the year 1970. Born in Spalding, Canada, Matchett was then raised in Alberta. The actress will be right at home since the new forthcoming series will be filming in Toronto. Matchett, who stands at 5’6”, is a graduate from the Red Deer College, National Theater School and attended the Moscow Theater School as well. She is currently not married.
Formerly known as Beth in the short-lived series Wonderfalls, Kari has been involved with both television and movie productions since she began acting professionally. In 1998 through 2000, Matchett played Colleen Blessed in the series Power Play. Up next the actress would take roles as Lily Rowan from 2001 through 2002 in A Nero Wolfe Mystery. In Blue Murder she was cast as a series regular as character Elaine Bender, a detective.
Recently Kari has secured roles in Criminal Minds, Leverage as Maggie Collins, six episodes as of the TV series Crash in the role of Jules, and Flashpoint as Delia Semple.
The Covert Affairs additional casting roles include stints in A Marriage of Convenience, Poltergeist: The Legacy, What Happened to Bobby Earl, ER, Heartland, ‘24’ as Lisa Miller, Studio 60 of Sunset Strip, The Cleaner, Ugly Betty, Wild Card and twenty-two episodes of Invasion as Mariel Underlay.
