Actress Kristen Bell will be starring as a Burlesque Dancer named Nikki in an upcoming musical drama. Get the details below of the former Veronica Mars star latest project.
Talk about a strange and unlikely duo put together on the big screen, Kristen Bell and Christina Aguilera? The pair will play arch enemies in a new flick titled Burlesque.
Burlesque will be directed by Steve Antin and centers around Aguilera’s character who is a country girl turned Burlesque starlet at a Los Angeles night club run by Cher!
Aguilera’s arrival at the club pushes Kristen Bell’s character Nikki, a lead dancer, out of the spotlight and into a jealous rage. Also set to star in the flick alongside Cher, Bell and Aguilera will be actor Stanley Tucci. He has been cast as Aguilera’s mentor in the biz who will change her image from “bumpkin to bombshell.” The Screen Gems produced movie will begin shooting on November 9th and is said to be hitting theaters sometime next November in 2010.
Kristen Bell’s other big screen acting credits include the current box office hit Couples Retreat, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Serious Moonlight and Polish Wedding. She also has two movies on the way, You Again and When In Rome. Both are scheduled for release inn 2010.
