Lisa Wu-Hartwell (picture above) owns a real estate business and is married to Ed Hartwell (full name Edgerton Hartwell), a former Oakland Raiders linebacker, and she is among the cast members of the popular “Real Housewives of Atlanta” reality TV show on Bravo. TMZ broke the story and posted documents indicating the couple were in foreclosure on their Duluth, Georgia mansion.

The publication stated that the couple purchased the home in 2007 for $2.9 million back and that bank received $1.9 million when they resold it this month. The story was amended with a quotation from the Lisa Wu-Hartwell’s rep stating:

“Ed and Lisa are fine. They have settled in their [new] home, that sits on 10 acres and they OWN it!”

The 38-year-old reality TV star is quoted as telling People magazine:

We chose to move, we were not evicted. It was a decision that we made and not one that was made for us. But we were not put out.”

A separate interview and story in Access Atlanta sheds more light on the story, noting that as is characteristic of the state of the economy, the home had lost its original appraised value of $3.1 million; it is now worth only $1.9 million with $2.9 million mortgage. The nearly 10,000 square foot house was built in 2004-2005. The couple has since moved to another house, on a 10-acre property, which they also own.

“We’re doing fine,” she said. “I love where I am.”

The publication notes that Bank of America bought back the property on August 4 for $1.9 million, making it a short sale rather than a foreclosure.

That is all that is known now in response to the earlier reports of a Lisa Wu-Hartwell foreclosure and presumed eviction and it is clear the Real Housewives of Atlanta star is not homeless. More Lisa Wu-Hartwell photos and video are below.
