Monday night in California, Matthew McConaughey became the proud father of a 7 lb., 4 oz. baby boy. His girlfriend Camila Alves gave birth early Monday night, with McConaughey announcing the birth the next day.

OK! Magazine reported the birth of Matthew McConaughey’s baby, quoting the actor as saying,
“Camila and I were side by side the entire time. We are both tired and elated, and are so happy to have created the greatest miracle in the world — having a child and making a family. Now comes the greatest adventure — raising one, together.”
The couple has named the child Levi Alves McConaughey. The birth has a special Biblical meaning for dad. First, the name Levi is another name used by the apostle Matthew. And second, the birth time of 6:22 is Matthew’s favorite verse in the Bible: “If thy eye be single, thy whole body will be full of light.”
