October 28th is the much awaited date for fans of Michael Jackson. This Is It, opening now, is finally here for the public’s viewing. Get the details here.
The movie footage is a collection of Michael Jackson’s rehearsals, right before his death, that will be shown in the much anticipated documentary. The film however will only be in theaters reportedly for only 2 weeks! Friends of Jackson who have sat for an early viewing of This Is It are impressed and so it seems fans will be too.
Just yesterday Jackson’s close friend, Elizabeth Taylor, spoke out about her early preview of the Michael Jackson movie saying via Twitter:
“I was honored with the great privilege of seeing ‘This Is It’ last week. I was sworn to secrecy, but now I can let you know about it,” she stated. “It is the single most brilliant piece of filmmaking I have ever seen. It cements forever Michael’s genius in every aspect of creativity.”
The movie, that will hit theaters this Wednesday the 28th, is expected to draw fans of Jackson to the last look into the performer’s life before his passing. Box offices everywhere are expected to sell out (most already have) with many predicting that this will be the movie of the year!
“It’s astounding, but it’s not — Michael Jackson has always been one of the most popular entertainment figures, and his death has only seemed to galvanize that,” said Michael Isabella of Clear Channel Communications. “This is definitely on the top of listeners’ minds.”
