It seems like 2010/2011 certainly has turned out to be the year of celebrity pregnancies! Dozens of actresses have announced they are expecting in the past several months, which means we are sure to see lots of baby bumps at the Oscars this year! For more on which stars will be displaying their bumps at Hollywood’s big night, and a look back at other glamorous moms of the past, keep on reading after the jump!
Since last year, more than a dozen hot celebrities have announced they are expecting this year, so we can surely expect to see some fashionable mommies-to-be on the red carpet this year!
The talk of the town since awards season started has been the very pregnant Natalie Portman and her nominations (and wins!) for best actress at many of this year’s ceremonies. But with so much attention on Ms. Portman, it’s easy to forget there are many other stars that have a bun in the oven right now!
Not since 2008, when stars like Nicole Kidman, Cate Blanchett, and Jessica Alba rocked their preggo bodies have we had so many hott mommas hitting the red carpet! Being pregnant and fashionable is no easy task, but these ladies know how to get it done and make being pregnant even more wonderful than it already is.
Already this year Natalie Portman has done a great job of sporting her belly in ensembles ranging from pricey designer pieces to a $50 organic H&M dress. But the talented Ms. Portman aside, who else can we expect to see strutting their stuff this year?
Stars who are expecting that have been working the carpet this year include Jessica Alba (again!), Alyssa Milano, Alicia Silverstone, Selma Blair, Kate Hudson, Jewel, Marion Cotillard, Victoria Beckham, Jennifer Connelly, Pink, and Mariah Carey just to name a few!
But these ladies aren’t the first (nor will they be the last) to strut their stuff (and even effectively hide!) their pregnancies at the Oscars. Past moms include Naomi Watts, Rachel Weisz, Annette Bening, Meryl Streep, and Glenn Close.
