Jennifer Aniston certainly has made some interesting movie choices since losing husband Brad Pitt to Angelina Jolie. There was ‘Derailed’, ‘Rumor Has It’, ‘The Break-Up’, and ‘He’s Just Not That Into You’. Currently in post-production is ‘The Baster’, and according to IMDB, a movie called ‘The Divorce Party’ is currently in development. Also upcoming is the movie Pumas, about two ladies who are aspire to be hott cougars.
Given how her personal life is always fodder for the gossip rags, you almost wonder who is picking these movies for her. I mean, really?? It’s almost getting to the point where it’s beyond comical. Jennifer has joked in the past about how her movie titles and plots have sort of mirrored her life, but if you recognize it, shouldn’t you stop doing it? You can almost see Angelina snickering to herself every time news comes out of Jennifer’s latest movie project as she wraps her hands a little tighter around the jar she keeps Brad’s nut sack in.
Anyhoo…. as ‘The Baster’ moves into post-production, word has gotten out that Jennifer’s next project will be Pumas. The movie will follow the lives of two 30-something women who run around wining and dining hott younger men. The big romantic-comedy twist is the cougar wannabes go on a French skiing vacation that “challenges their romantic expectations.”
Jennifer says:
“It’s sort of a female Wedding Crashers. It’s about these girls who aspire to become cougars. They just paaarty! Young party girls who just find hot young guys to play with and then dump them. Why can’t women do it?”
For Jennifer’s sake, I hope this movie has the awesomely hilarious outcome that Wedding Crashers did – seriously, who doesn’t have that movie in their top five?? Hopefully Jennifer will be surrounded by a faboosh cast, because we all know that can make or break a film. I mean, I really want to pull for her (if you haven’t gathered, I’m definitely on Team Aniston, NOT Team Jolie), but she’s been making it so hard with some of the choices she’s been making.
Pumas, a CBS Films production, will be directed by Wayne McClammy, and the story was written by Melissa Stack. Thesp, Jon Gordon, Scott Z. Burns and Kristin Hahn are all signed on to produce, and Chris Moore and Barry Littman are executive producing.
