Rachel Hurd-Wood is the star of the upcoming Momentum Pictures horror flick “Dorian Gray,” in which she appears alongside a talented cast, which includes: Ben Barnes, Colin Firth, Rebecca Hall, Ben Chaplin, Emilia Fox, Fiona Shaw, Maryam D’ Abo, Pip Torrens, Douglas Henshall, Caroline Goodall, Michael Culkin, Johnny Harris, and Max Irons.
The Oliver Parker directed film is about a self-indulgent, young man named Gray, who is the main focus of a painting. As Gray falls deeper into his shallow lifestyle the portrait starts to age and transform, but he doesn’t.

She was born on August 17, 1990 in London, England. Her father and mother are Philip and Sara Hurd-wood, and she has a brother named Patrick, who had a small role with her in “Peter Pan”. Also, her uncle is actor Hugh Laurie.
By the time she was in second grade she was already participating in the school drama club. Later, she received a role in the P.J. Hogan adaption of “Peter Pan,” “Peter and Wendy,” which she was nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Performance by a Younger Actor, and also a Young Artist Award for Best performance in a Feature Film.
Rachel Hurd-Wood has appeared in several films including: Peter Pan (2003), Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Silk Stocking (2004), An American Haunting (2005), Perfume: The Story of a Murderer (2006), and Solomon Kane (2008).
