Have you heard the news about actor Ryan Gosling in Farragut North? Apparently Gosling is set to take the lead role after actor Chris Pine has stepped down, and cannot appear in the upcoming George Clooney directed flick.
Gosling is reportedly on his way to join the already cast line up of actors Philip Seymour Hoffman, Paul Giamatti and the rumored duo of actress Evan Rachel Wood and Marisa Tomei. From the play of Beau Willimon, Clooney’s adaption will follow “an idealistic staffer for a newbie presidential candidate gets a crash course on dirty politics during his stint on the campaign trail.”
That idealistic staffer would be Ryan Gosling (if he takes the role), he would play the on screen character Stephen Myers. Farragut North is set to begin filming in March and will be released at some point next year. As for why Chris Pine had given up the lead, that was not divulged. When it comes to Gosling, we’ll keep you posted in whether or not the speculation and rumors ring true.
In other news, the thirty year old Gosling will appear next in the movie All Good Things as well as the film Blue Valentine opposite actress Michelle Williams and Crazy, Stupid, Love as the character Jacob. Previously the Canadian native has appeared in a slew of movie such as The Notebook, Remember the Titans and Half Nelson.
