Actor Ryan Reynolds could be taking the lead role for the movie Motorcade, or at least that’s what most are hoping for! Get the details on the upcoming Dreamworks movie here.
Motorcade (with a possible Ryan Reynolds) may finally arrive in theaters now that the movie has found a new director and will be produced by Dreamworks. Orginially the thriller was to be directed by Len Wiseman with Tom Cruise in the lead.
The Underworld director decided instead to pursue another project, Atlantis Rising. Now with Wiseman out of the picture Dreamworks has nabbed Jon Cassar who is most notable for his work on the FOX hit 24. Cassar will be taking over the chair with Ryan Reynolds as the star.
Although it has yet to be confirmed, Dreamworks is reportedly hopeful that Reynolds will sign on to portray a dishonored Secret Service agent who finds himself caught in the middle of the US President’s kidnapping with a chance for redemption. The storyline will take place in New York and involves a terrorist plot.
Currently Reynolds is committed to shooting The Green Lantern. If schedules are rearranged though Ryan could be filming Motorcade sometime next summer. Motorcade’s script will be written by Billy Ray. Reported by Variety, Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald are set to produce the project.
