Scarlett Johansson is the Glamour cover girl for its November 2009 issue, looking ravishing as always in a Lanvin t-shirt to boot. The Lost in Translation actress sat down with the mag and talked about relationships, some insecurities that plague her and her recent foray into the music world. Read snippets of the interview below.
The 24-year-old star, who wed the ever so gorgeous Ryan Reynolds last year, talked of how getting married wasn’t something she thought about, “it just kind of happened”.
“You hope that a relationship makes you better, that you learn things about yourself. … I feel more confident to explore things within myself that I hadn’t thought about in the past.”
When asked about the rumors surrounding the weight she lost for her role in Iron Man 2, she blasted the tabs, saying:
“I could never lose 14 pounds.… I hate seeing these ridiculous articles where [tabloids] guess someone’s weight.… I can’t look at somebody who is 6 feet tall and 120 pounds and say, I’m going to get that body. That’s just never going to happen. You have to work with what you’ve got.”
To this day Scarlett experiences anxiety when getting ready to walk the red carpet – heart palpitations, dry mouth, the sweats – you’d never know it from looking at photos of her, she always looks so picture perfect!
As far as her music career, she recently teamed up with Pete Yorn, and her album, The Breakup, was released earlier this month. Yorn just randomly texted Scarlett and said that they should collaborate on an album, not even knowing if ScarJo could carry a tune or not. Luckily she can.
Might we see her make a cameo appearance on SNL this weekend? Hubby Ryan serves as host. You can bet I’ll be watching. Um, to see him, of course.
