A trailer has finally been released, by Paramount Pictures, for the highly anticipated upcoming movie “Shutter Island”. Check out pictures and a video trailer here.
Shutter Island is an upcoming psychological thriller that was directed by Martin Scorcese. It was penned by Laeta Kalagridis, and has a remarkable cast, which includes: Leonardo DiCaprio, Ben Kingsley, Mark Ruffalo, Michelle Williams, Max von Sydow, and Patricia Clarkson.
The movie is centered on two U.S. Marshals, Teddy Daniels (Dicaprio) and Chuck Aule (Ruffalo), who are called upon to investigate the strange disappearance of a patient from Boston’s Shutter Island Ashecliffe Hospital, which is a facility for the criminally insane.
If the film’s trailer is any indication of how good the actual movie will be, October 2nd is way too far away. Armed with an outstanding cast and director, it looks like Paramount has another smash hit on their hands!
The film is set for release on October 2, 2009.
