“The Fantastic Mr. Fox” is an upcoming movie that is based on the children’s book by Roald Dahl. The talented lineup of commentators doing voice-overs for the stop motion animated film includes George Clooney, Owen Wilson, Meryl Streep, Bill Murray, and Jason Schwartzman.
The movie is about a character named Mr. Fox who at night robs three nasty, rich, farmers (Boggis, Bunce, and Bean) of their chickens, ducks, and turkeys. The farmers tired of the fox’s antics attempt to kill him anyway they can. One evening they post up outside of his hole, when he finally emerged they shot him, but only managed to dismember his tail. While they farmers play the waiting game, Mr. Fox and his family dig deeper and wind up in Boggis’ best-stocked chicken house, then they raid Bunce’s storehouse filled with vegetables and geese, and then they move on to Bean’s cellar where they steal his apple cider. The book is concluded by the indication that the farmers will wait out side the hole forever.
Its release date is set for November 13, 2009.
