Here is a new full length trailer for ‘The Horsemen’ starring Dennis Quaid and Ziyi Zhang. The horror movie opens in limited release in U.S. theaters on March 13, 2009. See photos and the movie trailer video here.
Dennis Quaid stars as Aidan Breslin an embittered, recently widowed detective who becomes emotionally estranged from his two young sons in his inability to cope with his wife’s untimely death. His investigations of serial killings lead him to discover a frightening connection between himself and the suspects whose murders appear to mimic Biblical prophecies from the Book of Revelations about the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse: War, Famine, Pestilence, and Death.
The trailer suggests a fascinating, but tense and unnerving movie from producer Michael Bey, who is also the producer of ‘The Unborn’ and ‘Friday the 13th’ (2009), for Platinum Dunes. It is the second feature film from Swedish director Jonas Akerlund, a noted music video director who has worked with Madonna, U2, Christina Aguilera, Maroon 5 and other top artists. His first feature was the 2002 movie ‘Spun.’ Screenwriter Dave Callaham previously penned ‘Doom’ and the forthcoming ‘Tell-Tale.’
Hollywood veteran Dennis Quaid appeared in Noam Murro’s comedy ‘Smart People’ with Sarah Jessica Parker, Ellen Page and Thomas Haden Church. He will appear in the highly anticipated summer movie G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, a screen adaptation of the iconic G.I. Joe action figure. Ziyi Zhang is a leading Chinese movie actress who received a Golden Globe Award nomination for her performance as Sayuri in the screen adaptation of Arthur Golden’s internationally bestselling novel ‘Memoirs of a Geisha.’ The movie also stars Clifton Collins Jr., Patrick Fugit, Eric Balfour, and Peter Stormare.
