What? Thor’ Loses Stuart Townsend?! Actor Stuart Townsend was signed on to play a Norse God. Not any longer. The performer has reportedly walked off the set of the big flick and won’t be returning. Get the rundown below with video and photos after the jump.

The word around the web is that Thor has lost Stuart Townsend due to creative differences. The movie already has a new actor on board to play Townsend’s role.

Now back to Thor Loses Stuart Townsend……

Thor, which is being directed by Kenneth Branagh, starts shooting this week and now without Stuart Townsend has one on to add a new actor. Joshua Dallas will now play the role of the Norse God by the name of Fandral. Dallas has been seen in The Descent 2.

Not much else was revealed regarding Thor’s loss of Stuart Townsend and his new replacement. Some are speculating that the actors decision to leave the movie is really about money. Thor is scheduled to debut in theaters on May 6, 2011.

Scheduled to appear in Thor is are big name actors such as Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman, among many others.
