Vince Vaughn appeared on the Ellen show today where he talked about his upcoming marriage. Who would have thought Vince Vaughn was such a romantic – he popped the question on Valentine’s Day!
Vince isn’t really known as being a romantic, although he does have a talent for starring in romantic comedies. The actor appeared on Ellen today to promote his new film, Couple’s Retreat, and of course he talked about his fiancé Kyla Weber, and marriage.
Vince revealed that they talked about it first, he didn’t want to be the guy who proposes and gets turned down. Yeah, right!
“Have you seen these things where these people ask people to marry them in really public ways and then the people say no?” he says. “You think they would have had a little talk before they went to that extreme. Then you start to wonder, ‘Did they go to such a big public display to corner the other person so they couldn’t say no?’ I knew we had talked about it. I knew we were both kind of in agreeance with it. So then it became a question of “‘When do you ask?’”
Vince popped the question on Valentine’s day of 2009, and of course Kyla said yes. But is Vince really such a romantic? No, he just knew he wouldn’t forget the date! Or so he says. I would like to think he is a big old softie under that funny guy faced he puts up.
He says he is “looking forward to being married and having kids. I’m ready for that.”
Well, congrats to the happy couple!
